NaNo Day 8 — Project Life: Events and NPC Dialog
So I’ve been working for quite a while because I was determined to record a video that had some content in it!
I started off trying to fix a bug with my monsters; I can no longer destroy them and I wanted their destruction as a trigger for an event. I couldn’t figure out what the issue was so I implemented a simpler destroy rule in order to then test Event Creation.
I start off by trying to do a fade-out scene that didn’t work. So I opted for a simple trigger to make an NPC appear.
Next, I implemented dialogue using a built-in extension of Yarn in GDevelop. Super simple and easy to use (after a little trial and error) and now I have the basic understanding of adding NPC dialogue! Super Exciting!
